Gothic Art, unfortunately, has been swallowed up in obscurity. Yet to truly understand the Renaissance, you have to look not only at its neoclassical roots in the rediscovered Greco-Roman tradition, but also at its natural roots in the developing ideas of the Post-classical European art period.
